Abdelrahman is working as senior nurse manager of Medical-Surgical 3rd Unit at King Hussein Cancer Center, who advocates and has an outstanding response to his patients and staff needs. He is always accessible to others' requests. He is a positive, cooperative, and compassionate care provider. During his daily work in the medical-surgical unit, he provided continuous support to all team members, nursing staff, other healthcare providers, and ancillary services members.

Abdelrahman displays a high commitment to quality improvement; he participated in one of the interdisciplinary quality improvement projects aimed to reduce accidental drains removal in his unit. In addition, he supported many nursing initiatives that were concerned with patient safety and high quality of care. Abdelrahman has exceptional communication and teamwork in a complex environment.

During the coronavirus pandemic, the Medical-Surgical 3rd Unit shifted to an isolation unit. Abdelrahman and his team continue to provide patients with extraordinary care during this crisis, providing expert care to every patient. Besides that, when someone is placed in isolation, it doesn't mean they are alone. Abdelrahman facilitated the time to help isolated patients connect with loved ones through audio and visual calls.

Abdelrahman goes beyond his responsibilities to provide exceptional support to every staff member in his unit and patients and their families. The magnificent teamwork and critical thinking exemplified the nursing values of King Hussein Cancer Center as they cared for these vulnerable patients and their families.

The patient's daughter wrote on behalf of the family, "My mother was in the Medical-Surgical 3rd Unit for one month newly diagnosed with metastatic cancer. It was the most challenging time in my life. Abdelrahman was in the right place and the right time for me. He provided me with full support to overcome this painful situation. He also stands out due to his wonderful personality and compassion. Moreover, he stood by my family and me in all the difficult times we have been through, alleviated our anxiety by being there, answering our frequent questions, connecting us with other medical care providers, and providing all the required information to help all of us. He made all of us so hopeful during a very difficult time. We are lucky to have you at King Hussein Cancer Center. May your hard work and commitment never go unnoticed. Thank you, Abdelrahman".
