اللقاء كان مليئًا بالدموع والمشاعر وبالامتنان العميق لملاك الرحمة، عبدالعزيز الحربي، الذي جمع شمل الأب مع أسرته بعد أن ظنوه قد رحل إلى الأبد./ The reunion was filled with tears, emotions, and immense gratitude for the angel of mercy, Abdulaziz Al-Harbi, who reunited the father with his family after they had thought him gone forever.

English Translation:

This story is about an elderly Yemeni patient who was transferred from one of the hospitals in Jeddah to Adham General Hospital.

He had lost contact with his family in Yemen, who believed that he had passed away. They repeatedly asked his friend about him, and he told them that the patient had died and been buried in the Kingdom. The family then held a funeral and mourning ceremony for him in their village.

While staying in the inpatient department at Adham General Hospital,  Abdulaziz regularly visited and cared for him. The patient felt a sense of closeness and compassion from Abdulaziz and confided that he missed his family and his country, and that he had no way of knowing anything about them.

Our colleague, Abdulaziz, then thought of a way to ease his suffering and solve his problem. He reached out to some acquaintances from the Yemeni community, and after a long search and many questions, he was able to connect with someone from the patient’s village. They eventually reached the patient’s eldest son and told him that his father was alive and in the hospital. The news hit him like lightning; it was as if his father had returned from the dead. He could not believe it until he spoke with his father through a video call, where the whole family gathered to see him and reassure themselves after having endured the painful news of his supposed death and the despair of ever seeing him again. It was a deeply moving moment.

Only a few days later, the son came from Yemen to see his father in person. The reunion was filled with tears, emotions, and immense gratitude for the angel of mercy, Abdulaziz Al-Harbi, who reunited the father with his family after they had thought him gone forever.
