​To meet Abel is like meeting a ray of sunshine. He is such a joyous, engaging, and compassionate RN on our busy Med/Surg unit. Although Abel is less than a year in as a new RN, he has set himself apart as a leader on his unit. He is a brave advocate for patient safety, an exceptional champion of patient experience, and an engaging supporter of nursing excellence and team development. Abel greets all patients, visitors, and staff alike with a truly passionate love of nursing and an enthusiastic heart to serve. He goes out of his way to make sure all needs are met, not only for his patients but also in support of his team members as well. He also serves in the role of one of our stroke champions and is the go-to person for process improvement initiatives. We are so thankful to have Abel Yeakel on our team and for setting a great example for nursing excellence.
