March 2022 Honoree
Abi Sillah, RN
While I was in the hospital after an acute appendicitis operation Abi was my night nurse. Whenever I called on her she was prompt to attend to my needs. I had a night terror dream and I called Abi because I sweated so much that I soaked the bed. She helped me to the chair in my room and listened to me as I went through the night terror dream with her. It was a blessing to have her as my nurse during my stay at the VA. She also changed my bedding for me. I could tell that she has a passion for her job and her bedside manner helped me so much through this traumatic time. Abi is one of the kindest persons that I have ever met in my life.
Thank you, Abi, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
