A patient on the unit was very sick. When the patient felt better and more alert, it just happened to be the patient’s birthday. Abbie went above and beyond by decorating the patient’s door including “Happy Birthday” balloons and a cake. She also danced with the patient to a birthday song she played. The patient was so happy and dancing with her. Nurses like Abbie are refreshing to work with and invaluable to the field of nursing.
