Abby was phenomenal right out of the gate when I came in to be evaluated. My water broke almost 18 hours earlier, but I wasn’t having any contractions. I was not sure what was going on as a first-time mom, and I was very emotional. Abby made me feel comfortable and, recognized my feelings as valid, made sure to explain everything to me so I understood and felt confident with decisions that had to be made quickly.

As my labor progressed rather quickly, she always read the room and was so personable with keeping the mood right for a positive experience, listening, and asking the right questions. She advocated on my behalf when things progressed quickly and offered her shoulder (literally) as I was given the epidural. After birth, she checked me regularly and did not hesitate to trust her intuition and voice concerns with the doctor when my blood loss was higher than normal. She was very detail-oriented and made sure my baby and I were doing well, even staying on a bit late at the end of her shift (at the end of a stretch, too!) to assist with an intervention for my blood loss and make sure I was comfortable.

My husband and I are so thankful we had Abby to help us with the birth of our daughter. She is amazing!
