Abby advocated for my son when he was admitted for RSV and pneumonia. She took incredible care of him. Her passion and love for her job were evident from the moment she walked into his room. Our son is a former micro-preemie and she knew how scary this situation was for us all. She comforted me, his mother when it was clear I was having a hard time. When she heard how much my son loves celebrations, decorations, and Christmas, she moved the Christmas tree in front of his window. It was such a sweet act that it brought tears to my eyes. Abby was so caring and sweet during our short stay at Arnot. I felt very lucky that she was my son's nurse. I knew I was in good, gentle, and loving hands. When we were being transferred to the Rochester PICU and it ended up being a bit of a rush, she handled everything professionally and ensured that we were all ok and had our questions answered. She explained everything thoroughly to us and made sure we were all taken care of. The care and hugs she provided are appreciated more than I could ever tell her at the time.
