Abbie saw a patient in need and stepped up. A laboring mother came in to deliver her baby all alone. The patient's husband wasn't able to accompany her, as they had no one to be with their other children. Abbie took it upon herself to become this patient's support person. She remained at the patient's bedside for the remainder of her shift, whenever she was able (she was also in the scrub nurse role and had many other duties). She offered reassurance, kind words, and a friendly face to someone who needed her most. Abbie's heart is full of kindness and she spreads that kindness where she can. She is a true gift to all the patients she comes in contact with.
