Often nurses are very busy caring for patients and I'm sure it is stressful. Last night was different. Abby came in and lit up the room. She was all smiles and they were genuine smiles. She had to put a feeding tube in via the baby's nose and she was on point. She explained everything she was doing, and it was put in quickly with confidence, so the baby was not in discomfort for too long and it was done right on the first try.
Throughout the night Abby stayed happy and explained anything she was doing and made sure the baby was ok. I really appreciate the sunshine she brought to us after a long medical day. She actually listened to my concerns and she was very detail-oriented. I can tell her job is not just a paycheck but that she has a passion for what she does. I wish we had more nurses like her.
