Abigail Perez was my nurse during my stay on 3N-18. She exhibits all the qualities of care. She was attentive and responsive to my needs and wants, even anticipating them in some instances. Abigail was knowledgeable, smart, and held herself and others to the highest standards of care. In addition, her enthusiastic and caring manner helped the patient forget their situation for a moment and brought a moment of joy into their day. Not only was she a wonderful nurse, but a talented trainer/teacher. I happened to witness her when she was training a new nurse. As a former teacher /administrator, I was impressed by her training techniques. She was kind and sensitive when explaining or reinforcing good practices and proper procedures. I’m sure her positive attitude was very effective with someone who may be a little anxious or nervous upon starting a new job. Needless to say, Abigail was an excellent role model! The Miriam Hospital is lucky to have her.
