My father was admitted to the ICU and was intubated with a tube down his throat and I was at his side by myself. Abby was his nurse and continuously checked in on him and was constantly trying to make him more comfortable. She rubbed his hand and talked to him and was so caring. Her bedside manner is so calming. Always with a smile on her face. I admit the first day there he was probably difficult to take care of, but she always had a smile on her face, from getting him a cup of water to when he was hurting she was right away communicating to the doctor. Not saying all the nurses aren’t wonderful, but Abigail made me feel like my father was her only patient. I know you probably get people who are more professional filling these forms out, but I want you to nominate Abby. She is just wonderful, and she should get some kind of praise for the caring manner she provided to my father. My father doesn’t compliment ANYONE but he said she was so good. Well in our eyes she means the world to us and really displays how much she loves her job. I know while I am not there I know he is getting the care he deserves so I don’t have to worry.

This nomination is coming from just a regular person who cares about letting people know when a nurse deserves credit and recognition.
