Since my dad was on strict bed rest for five days, these acts of care weren’t just physical necessities; they were emotional lifelines.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Nurse Abraham, who took care of my dad during the first two days after his pituitary tumor resection. Simply put, we can’t say enough good things about him. Abraham was everything you hope for in a nurse: caring, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions with patience and clarity, especially when it came to my dad’s medications and post-operative care. He never made us feel rushed or like we were asking too much, which meant the world to us during such a vulnerable time. More than just providing medical care, Abraham treated my dad with a level of dignity and compassion that deeply touched us. He made sure my dad felt fresh and clean each morning by doing his wipe downs, brushing his teeth, and setting the tone for the day. Since my dad was on strict bed rest for five days, these acts of care weren’t just physical necessities; they were emotional lifelines. It felt like Abraham was caring for him in the same way my dad would have cared for himself if he could. Day 3 came, and we were genuinely bummed when he wasn’t our nurse anymore. Each morning, my dad would wake up and ask, Where is Abraham? and say, I wish he were my nurse today. That says everything. His smile, his calm presence, and his uplifting spirit were a bright light during our hospital stay. Abraham, thank you for going above and beyond. You are the epitome of what a nurse should be, and your love for what you do shines through in every moment. We wish you nothing but the best in your new role. Your next patients are incredibly lucky to have you.
