She checked on us routinely and promptly provided the needed care. She was delightful and gave us the emotional support we needed for recovery.
My heart is full with the deepest gratitude for my nurse as she assisted me on my transition from the beginning of my journey becoming a first-time mother to twin girls. She has the patience, passion, and dedication to guide a new mother in the right direction. From the moment I encountered her to the day she completed her shift with me, she continued to work with a smile, assisting me at all times with the knowledge and helpfulness I needed. She truly stood out on my journey, and I once again commend her for her patience, knowledge, and compassion that she showed to me and my family on this journey. Her medical qualifications, alongside her personality, placed me in better hands, and for that, I am forever grateful.

She was my nurse for all three days that I have been admitted. Even in her busiest hour she made sure she came into the room to check on my pain, nausea, and vomiting. There were times I couldn’t figure out what was wrong and why I felt how I felt, and she took the time to explain each side effect to the specific medication as well as explain the symptoms to me. I had a severe U.T.I. which caused me to vomit each day for the whole day. This nurse stood out because she even took the time to ask my boyfriend if he had any questions or concerns about my diagnosis or care. This nurse exhibits or demonstrates a positive attitude, no matter how many times I rang she displayed good communication skills, attention to detail, time management, empathy and integrity. She is by far one of the best nurses I have ever had at NYP. Thank you so much for all your hard work. She also inserted my IV line from my arm to my hand with the most care possible. Usually, the hand hurts from having an IV inserted but not these 3-4 days. My IV line has been so strong because of this nurse causing me NO pain at all. I have been able to sleep with no issues and am very thankful for how gentle she has been with me for the past few days.

Our beautiful one-day old baby would not feed no matter how we enticed him, we tried to get him to latch on, but he would fall asleep. While this was very cute looking, we got concerned that our baby wasn’t eating. This nurse swooped right in and got our baby fed. She worked her magic was tireless and did not stop until our son was fed properly. She intercepted immediately to help, and she knew exactly what to do to get our baby fed and happy. It really meant so much to us that she genuinely cared for our son.

As a new first-time mother I was worried about navigating my new life with my newborn. I felt that I wasn’t prepared enough and scared that I’d do something wrong or forget something important. I felt support, reassurance, and confidence when I was at my most vulnerable state. This nurse was attentive, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I am so touched by the care and so happy that I received such great service, education, and compassion. She is an amazing individual; she is a DAISY Nurse.
