Patient story:
As a patient, it is important to be in a place where you will feel safe and comfortable, and this is important for your healing and recovery. I was admitted to the Acute Care Unit in July, and I stayed there for six days. I didn't want to be discharged; my wife, who was my sitter, wanted to adopt all the nurses into our family.
Every morning and night while I was there, I was treated with care and respect, and each nurse was the consummate professional, and they worked as a team. I never felt any animosity between the nurses; each nurse would come into my room with a smile and would explain each procedure to me clearly. I went home and missed them all and missed my time with them. I felt as if I was at a spa, not a hospital.

• International Oral Presentation: Presented at the 48th Biennial Sigma Convention in Indianapolis, USA, where one staff member delivered her research abstract, “barriers and motivators to diet change among Saudi women living with cardiovascular disease: qualitative study — Ms. Rahaf Alghamdi.
• Published Research: “Unraveling the Stigma: A Qualitative Descriptive Exploration of the Relationship Between Culture, Religion, and Mental Disorders in Saudi Arabia,” presented at the KFSHRC Research Symposium — Ms. Alanoud Abuladel.
• Published Research: “Evaluating the Impact of New Technology on Quality of Healthcare Service in Saudi Arabia: A Systematic Review” — Mr. Abdullah Alghamdi.
2. National Recognition & Awards
• Winner of the National Patient Safety Award (Feb 2025) for the project “Decrease the Number of CAUTI Cases in the Acute Care Admission Unit” — Mr. Mohammad Althubaiti.
