This letter comes to you to praise your Acute Rehab Team. I was a pedestrian walking across a parking lot, and a truck struck me and ran me over. I was at VCMC for 3 days then was transferred to St. John's Hospital. I was compelled to pen this letter only because of the outstanding professionalism of your Rehab floor- in its entirety. Ruel was the head of my P.T. team, and he is a miracle worker. The entire team was so positive, encouraging, and pragmatic, which led to my enhanced recovery. Aprie, head of my O.T. team, was masterful with her duties. I can not speak highly enough of all of the people involved. The nurses, especially Jared and Anna, who helped with my discharge, were exceptional. I commend you on your skilled team and extraordinary talent. Katheleen, with admission and discharge, sticks to this day, assisting me. She is a blessing. I am now recovering with in-home OT & PT, and each day I am stronger. But I will never forget my experience at St. John's, and thank you for providing such skilled care.
