After many days in the hospital, my family members decided to split our time to better help care for my dad. He was being moved from ICU to telemetry for comfort care measures. Ada truly went above and beyond on the first day she had taken care of him and was only with him a while before her shift ended. As Dad started to decline, Ada called to inform me that he would likely only live a few hours and she felt my mom would need me. On the way back to the hospital, I called my brother, so he could come as well.
Because of Ada taking the time to make that phone call, my brother, myself, and others, had our one last evening to be all together before Dad passed on. We owe her a debt of extreme gratitude for stopping and putting us and my dad as a priority to make that call. The night was so special and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
