April 2025 Honoree
Ada Ibarra, ADN, RN
I’m a 51-year-old amputee. I lost my left leg (below the knee) to diabetes. I was sent to acute rehabilitation and Ada took very good care of me. She epitomizes a Registered Nurse. Her willingness to help and ensure I was comfortable is unparalleled compared to others I have encountered. The skill set she possesses at such a young age makes her a natural; I feel that she has a very bright future. I also believe she will make a big difference in other people’s lives, like she did mine. She is a great motivator, and I now feel confident about moving forward once I am discharged. MacNeal is very fortunate and lucky to have her.
Thank you, Ada, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
