Ada represents everything a rehab nurse/staff member should be. She advocates, empowers, and encourages all of her patients. She spends time with her patients teaching them how to advocate for them, provides a thorough education on self-care in preparation for a successful discharge home, and has excellent nursing skills in the areas of spinal cord injury and brain injury. Even if a patient has her for only one day, she treats them like she is their primary nurse. She goes above and beyond to ensure that patients are prepared for the often difficult and complex transition home. As a therapist, she is the ideal nurse who advocates and values the entire rehab experience.
