I would like to nominate Adam. Adam was very professional compassionate, quick acting/thinking, caring to family and had excellent bedside manner with a very ill patient and his family. I was so impressed with all the ICU staff who saved my son's life while he suffered acute kidney failure. My hat is off to their dedication, hard work, compassion, and quick judgment.

My husband had cancer for 27 years. It became much worse in the last couple of months. He developed an infection in his bloodstream because the chemo he took removed all his immunities. He was admitted to the MSIUC in the evening. He had a breathing tube installed because I was told he had no chance for survival without it. As the morning went on it was obvious he hated the breathing tube and was not getting any better. Adam helped me by finding and bringing to me a doctor who understood and was willing to remove the tube. He died peacefully 30 minutes after the tube was removed. Without Adam's help, I would not have been able to find a doctor to help me and help my husband to die peacefully. He was also very attentive and helpful in making sure my husband had sufficient painkillers to keep him comfortable.
