After the procedure I was moved back to the room, Addison immediately came in with my discharge instructions and a hot cup of coffee for me.
My husband's surgery was early in the day. At some point, I think it was after recovery, he was placed in a same-day surgery room because his regular room was not yet available. Addison was assigned to care for him while he waited for his room which turned into several hours. However, thanks to her it was a very pleasant wait. We had had some anxiety about this surgery, and her pleasant, competent care alleviated all of that. She answered our questions and made good suggestions to increase his chances for a successful recovery.

Recently I had a surgical procedure complete at Tennova. I encountered many of the staff in the surgical wing and all were great, however, the person who stood out in all I encountered was Addison. The lovely young lady was extremely personable, professional, and attentive to my needs both before and after the procedure.
As Addison was assisting in prepping me for the procedure she continually spoke to me in a calm reassuring voice which eased any apprehension I was experiencing at that moment. I mentioned being chilly with my "fashionable" open back hospital gown, so she immediately produced a soothing warm blanket. I informed Addison I was apologizing for any grumpiness I may display as I was unable to have my normal cup of coffee due to medical instructions not to eat or drink after midnight pre-procedure. After the procedure I was moved back to the room, Addison immediately came in with my discharge instructions and a hot cup of coffee for me. This was a welcome surprise.
This young lady is truly an outstanding medical professional who reflects great credit not only on herself but Tennova Hospital as well. If I have any occasion to have any future procedures at Tennova I certainly hope Addison will be involved in my medical care. I can only hope all the nurses I encounter in the future will have the same traits and characteristics as Addison.
