Addison Curran, RN

Last Wednesday, I was seen in the ED at DMC for a migraine. I typically choose to go out of my way to DMC for care as I’ve always had good experiences with you guys. Last Wednesday was no different, and I wanted to give a shout-out to my nurse, who was easily the best nurse I’ve ever encountered; her name was Addi. While I was there, I had sort of a strange, flushed feeling reaction to some of the medication I was given, and it kind of caused me to feel a bit panicked. Addi stayed with me the entire time and made sure I was feeling comfortable, calm, and normal (which I eventually did) before she left my side. She was exceptionally kind and extremely caring and reassured me that I was going to be okay when I started feeling strange. You could tell she genuinely cares for her patients and their well-being, and I felt she needed to be recognized for doing such a great job. If I ever must visit the ER at Davie in the future and she’s working, I will be requesting her as my nurse if that’s possible because she did such a phenomenal job. Please let her know that she received this compliment and that her care doesn’t go unnoticed.
