We had a patient experiencing a significant decline in condition, which necessitated calling a rapid response team. Ultimately, the patient required bedside intubation.

Adeana Beer, who was in charge that night, was immediately engaged from the moment the rapid response was initiated. When the patient became distressed upon learning she would be intubated, Adeana ceased her ongoing tasks to provide comfort, holding the patient and reassuring her with calming words, emphasizing that she was not alone and that she was there to support her.
