Addy has been a caregiver since she came to the US from the Philippines. Over 35 years of devotion to taking care of patients, families, physicians, and all of those people who are lucky enough to cross paths with her. She is the kind of person who stands out in a crowd. One patient commented, "She is as good as it gets. She rates 5 stars. I cannot overstate how wonderful she is." Another patient stated, "I can always depend on her to come to my room when I need her". Yet another said, "She always knows what to do to make me feel better."
As the Chief Clinical Officer, I have observed her in the sacred moment of caring for patients and their family. She is a role model, mentor, and teacher for the nurses here at Kindred San Diego.
In December Addy was recognized as International Nurse of the year and was honored in Washington DC. We are honored to have her as one of our nurses.
