Adele was an advocate for his care
My father-in-law was brought to the ED, as we believed he may have been Covid positive. After his evaluation in the ED, it was determined that he did not have Covid, but was suffering from pneumonia, renal failure, and an MI. He was in critical condition and admitted to the Step Down unit due to the unavailability of beds in the ICU.

While he was there, it was also determined that he was suffering from a GI bleed and sepsis. The next day, he was under the extraordinary care of Adele Sweeten. She continually kept my father-in-law and our family informed throughout the day of his progress and all plans for his care and treatment. Adele was an advocate for his care when she collaborated with the physicians to ensure that the order in which each of his medical conditions needed to be treated was accomplished.

The safety and wellbeing of my father-in-law was clearly her top priority. It is without a doubt that Adele’s professionalism, dignity and respect, involvement, and excellence in the treatment of my father-in-law saved his life. It is for these reasons that I, as well as the entire family, want to recognize Adele
