Adele Sweeten, BSN, RN

Our Aunt came to Newton Medical Center on and was there for about 2 weeks. Some days she wanted to fight to live and others she wanted to go to hospice. Challenges and changing of status were aplenty. But we were blessed to have Adele on 1 South as her nurse. She showed definite patience and true spirit and she absolutely loved her job because some of our family members definitely tried to test her patience. But at no time did Adele ever lose her professionalism she just kept being a true grit wonderful nurse, and just continued to the truth of her status and never waved from the facts of her condition. This was not always accepted well but she never wavered from the truth, just spilled the facts. So, my aunt was up and down on whether to accept treatment, I believe changing her mind about 3 times between regular care and hospice. In the end before she went our Aunt wanted us to thank Adele for always being upfront and honest and always telling the truth. Thank you very much 1 South and Newton Medical Center.
