Adena's only began working at the San Francisco VA in April of this year after moving to the Bay Area with her family from Israel, but in just a few short months she has made a lasting impact on her patients. In the letter nominating Adena for a DAISY Award, a former patient writes about how Adena was friendly, knowledgeable, and outgoing, with a happy personality.
"She makes one feel at ease during this traumatic time. I was in the ward for five days taking all kinds of tests and scans, and she gave me comfort. She answered my many disoriented questions with grace. When I needed something, she provided as best she could and found someone else to help."
