Adena is an amazing and wonderful nurse who demonstrates excellence at every level. She treats every patient with compassion, her critical care knowledge is beyond excellent and she faces even the most challenging patients with calmness, compassion, and respect. Yesterday, I saw her face the challenges of caring for a patient who demonstrated some of the most extreme circumstances of unpleasantness I have ever seen in my many years of nursing while continuing to provide the most excellent and professional care possible. As difficult as some of these challenges are to face, Adena always does so with grace and diplomacy, treating each with respect, dignity, and the utmost professionalism. I love sharing the nursing profession with her, I love working with her and I love calling her my friend.
