My grandmother has been here to BBMC three times in a short time frame. My family and I have been here with her as much as possible each time, and have come to learn that an excellent RN makes for a much better experience. I live out of town and was in a huge hurry to get here to help on our last visit. My grandmother is NOT the easiest patient! My mother called me and told me to take my time - she said grandma had a really good nurse and that she was in good hands.
I finally made it and was immediately impressed with Adina. She is the best RN we have had so far over ALL hospitals. Adina is polite, personable, attentive, respectful, competent and has the best bedside manner. Her patient care skills are extraordinary! Adina and the CNA are a good team, they work well together while making the family feel included. We have been around other medical staff that often converse with each other, making the patient and family feel uncomfortable. Adina allowed us to stay with my grandmother after hours and took the time to answer all of our questions and address concerns. She is very good and has patience when communicating.
We were so grateful that the nurses put my grandmother in the room across from the nurse's station because she is unable to balance - this room location eased our minds when we couldn't be there.
