She was the nurse with whom we felt most comfortable leaving my grandmother in the care at the end of each day.
My grandmother was in Adreanna’s care during the last days of her life. Although my grandmother was sedated and unresponsive during the entire time that Adreanna knew her. Adreanna continued to communicate and inform my grandmother of the actions she was taking to provide her care. This sense of contentment and awareness was truly appreciated, as my grandmother was strongly opinionated about her right to do as she wanted. In addition, Adreanna arrived at the end of a very long and painful day for my family, but she always greeted us with a smile and compassion as she asked for an update on how the day had gone. She was the nurse with whom we felt most comfortable leaving my grandmother in the care at the end of each day. It is also comforting to know that she was in Adreanna’s care during her last moments. We want to thank Adreanna for her responsiveness to our calls and questions, her routine check-ins when she saw my family come for the evening goodnights, and for the compassion and personalized care she provided my grandmother in her last days.
