I believe Adriana was the comforting point my mother needed to take her last breath.
Adriana was my mom’s overnight nurse while in hospice. Our family had never gone through an experience like this and when we asked her for her knowledge, she was very genuine, explained to us what may happen, and prepared us for what we were going to be experiencing. She was very caring and concerned if my mother was in pain and needed to increase the medication. On her last checkup, I asked her to sit with our family for a brief moment and she did. I told my mom that she was here with her, along with her husband and her children and it’s OK. My mother passed peacefully within two minutes of that last comment. I believe Adriana was the comforting point my mother needed to take her last breath. She was very genuine with her condolences. Adriana is very young and has the potential to be an amazing, caring person; nothing will hold her back. I also believe my mom and God reached out to me to ask her to stay in our room at that time. I wanted to give it back to her and our experience that she may be able to help others down the road. She is a blessing to anyone who has her as their caregiver.
