WOW!
Adrianna was such a blessing to me when I was being induced. I myself am a nurse, but I do not have L&D experience. I was very anxious about the whole labor process because I wanted a natural labor, and I wasn't sure how that would go in a hospital setting.
She was my night shift nurse the first night I was admitted, and she calmed my nerves right away. She was extremely personable and friendly.
Around 1 am, a resident came into the room and tried to bully me into more interventions by threatening serious consequences if I didn't start pitocin right then and there. I was concerned and called Adrianna into my room, and she went to bat for me!
She validated my concerns with honesty and truth, and she proceeded to confront the resident who spoke to me because of how much she scared me. Adrianna got a hold of the senior resident, and he came into the room to alleviate my fears and move forward with a collaborative plan.
Without Adrianna's excellent advocacy, I wouldn't have been able to stand up for myself to the medical team as well as she had.
She got me comfortable afterward, and I was finally able to get some sleep before my induction continued the next morning.
The next night, when she was the charge nurse, she checked in on me and ensured I was well taken care of. She truly made my experience so much better!
When she came back to visit me, my baby wasn't doing well on the monitor, and the whole team was present in the room. She stayed by my side, and her calming presence was enough to help me relax and stay encouraged.
I can't say enough good things about her.
