...I was given a stress test by Adrianne Mesic, on the third floor cardiac cath lab. The treadmill procedure was halted when I became fatigued and had shortness of breath. Adrianne Mesic asked me who my cardiac doctor was and I informed her that I did not have one, the test was ordered by my primary who was affiliated with Holy Cross Hospital.

Adrianne stated I should see one immediately, requested I not leave the lab and had Dr. B review my test. I was scheduled to travel to New York the following week and Dr. B recommended that I should have a cardiac cath, not travel and to avoid any strenuous exercise.

After Dr. B left the lab, I asked Adrianne who she would recommend for the procedure and she strongly recommended Dr. M, gave me the phone number and included her work phone number if I encountered any scheduling problems.

I called Adrianne at work and advised the earliest I could see Dr. M three weeks later and she said that she would call me back within the hour. Adrianne called me back with Dr. M at her side, they told me that I should report to BHMC at 10am the next day and that the cath would be performed at 12noon.

That day, while being prepped for the procedure, the nurses on the floor advised me that Adrianne would assist Dr. M in the cath which resulted in two stents being placed in my right coronary artery.

I had never met Adrianne before my stress test, was completely impressed with her concern, professionalism and take charge nature for a patient who was unprepared for his diagnosis. She also has a very calming side that allowed me to experience minimal stress during this time period.
