February 2020 Honoree
adrienne dean, RN
Aside from Adrienne being exceptionally kind to her patients and co-workers on every single encounter, Adrienne already has excelled beyond her years on our unit with her ability to adapt, overcome and quickly master the challenges of caring for the wide range of patient acuities we encounter.
Adrienne went way above and beyond even her typical exceptional norm last week when she took the initiative to coordinate with PT, Patient Experience, and her patient's daughter to arrange for one of our stroke patients (who was badly in need of a pick-me-up and missing his dog) to get out of bed via Hoyer lift, into a wheelchair, and downstairs to visit with his sweet dog in the parking lot. The patient was overwhelmed to the point of tears. Adrienne has quickly grown into a wonderful, compassionate nurse and I am so humbled to get to work with such an amazing person!
