Adrienne is truly a talented, kind, knowledgeable, and creative nurse who genuinely cares about her patients.
I had preeclampsia and gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl, prematurely at 22 weeks via emergency C-section. My baby girl did not make it; she was too small. My baby boy just barely made it and was admitted into the NICU, where he remains, but so far, he has made much improvement.
While grieving a pregnancy I didn’t get to finish and a baby girl I never got to bring home, I am grateful my boy is here, yet so frightened of any possible complications or surprises. It has been a lot, and we have become familiar with many nurses in the NICU. However, Adrienne has really stood out to me. From the first time I met her, I instantly loved how she took care of our baby. Since then, I’ve requested her personally to be a part of our baby’s more permanent care team.
He always looks so clean and fresh after her care. I watched as she treated him, and you can just tell she enjoys what she does. She is so sweet and kind to us and to our baby, which is the most important thing. She is very attentive and observant with him. Aside from her role as an RN, she is also very creative and incredibly thoughtful, creating little footprints of our baby for us and finding ways to provide comfort.
She knew how scared I was about losing him, too, and she always takes the time to answer all my questions thoroughly in a way I can understand. Out of all the great nurses at Medical City Children’s Hospital in Dallas, she gives me such a calming feeling and incredible peace of mind. I’ve started trusting more and more that my baby will be okay, especially knowing she is there with him most nights.
He is still so little and fragile, and has a long way to go in the NICU before we might be able to bring him home, but Adrienne’s presence around our little one truly keeps us at ease. Even when we aren’t able to visit, she posts pictures of him on the AngelEye app so we can still see him and feel connected. She’s even great at writing the captions.
Adrienne is truly a talented, kind, knowledgeable, and creative nurse who genuinely cares about her patients. I am so grateful she is part of my baby’s care team and early life. She is a gem, and Medical City is so lucky to have her.
We really appreciate you, Adrienne. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for everything you do to keep our baby safe and cared for during his time in the NICU.
