I will never forget her concern, her kindness, and the fact that she cared for my well-being.
I hope I have her name right. I only had her one night. I have Cystic Fibrosis and had a major Arthritic flare where my body hurt to the point I could hardly move. I told the doctors I was in pain and they sort of dismissed it. I felt like I wasn't heard. Adrienne saw how much pain I was in and she reached out to the on-call doctor that night who helped me with my pain. She advocated for me. I never had a nurse that did that. I got some pain meds and she helped position me in bed which made me the most comfortable. I will never forget her concern, her kindness, and the fact that she cared for my well-being. Brigham's should be proud to have a nurse like Adrienne. I was in so much pain that night that I never got to say thank you, so I thought this was the perfect way! Thank you, Adrienne. We need more nurses like you who really care and advocate for patients who feel like they are not heard. This is a true nurse. She was not there just to do her job and leave. She truly cared for my well-being. I have been in and out of the hospital my entire life and nurses like Adrienne are few and far between. This is a nurse that should be awarded for her compassion toward her patients. She went above and beyond and didn't have to. I will never forget what she did for me.
