My daughter was in a terrible scooter accident, resulting in emergency brain surgery. A horrific tragedy in the middle of our family vacation. All of the doctors, nurses, and ancillary staff here at SVBGH have been attentive and compassionate. One nurse, however, really stood out, Adrienne, a resource pool nurse. Her bedside manner was personable and understanding but Adrienne went above and beyond. My daughter's hair was matted with dried blood and road debris. She had knots, tangles that were causing her physical and emotional discomfort.
Adrienne was willing and even ambitious in offering to help me with her hair. She recommended texture products and then the two of us went to work on my daughter's hair. The effort paid off! My daughter felt so much better and we both enjoyed the relational investment Adrienne made with us. Adrienne is an Extraordinary Nurse.
