Adult Surgery Center

WOW! What a great group! I had a parathyroidectomy, and I cannot say enough about the care I received from the Pre-op nurse, Catherine Linn, and my Post-op team. Upon entering the surgery area, I was explained everything, given warmth, kindness, and relatability. There was another nurse who helped put my IV in via ultrasound, and she was cracking jokes with me, telling stories, etc. This made me feel so comfortable and less anxious about my surgery. After surgery, my nurse Emily and her preceptor immediately asked me if I had pain, which I did. They got me my medication within 2 minutes. I also had some nausea, and they gave me my medicine so quickly. Emily has a very calming demeanor that made me feel safe and cared for. She was very concerned about my blood pressure and making sure that I was in the correct parameters before moving me to Phase 2. The manager of the PACU was also making rounds to help all of the nurses, and she checked in on me to make sure I was doing well. WOW! Talk about customer service. This surgery care before and after is nothing I had ever experienced before, and they deserve 100 stars!
