Our pediatric nurse, Aera Kim is amazing. Her kindness and gentle manner are soothing for our whole team. Those personality traits are balanced by her sheer determination to ensure our patients receive the best care. Aera is a true patient advocate.
We had a seriously ill child come to the clinic and Aera advocated for this child to be addressed right away. She met many barriers but her persistence and tenacity saved this child's life. Together with the physician they agreed this was an emergent case that needed to be brought to the Emergency Room. Aera did a scoop and run where she made sure the child was expediently brought to where he could receive the best care with no wasted time or effort.
