Aglo was my instructor prior to writing my NCLEX in November of 2022, I think she had an exceptional wealth of nursing knowledge and even a better way to share it and impart that same knowledge on others. I did not pass my first attempt in 2022 and was very devastated by the failure after doing the entire exam which was 145 questions, I had to retake in January 2023. As my instructor, Aglo encouraged me that it was not that I failed because I was not a good nurse but sometimes I could have failed because NCLEX testing system was just a little different from the nursing exams I have taken before, for a moment I felt that Aglo had more faith in me than I had in myself, she said I can make it if I took the second attempt and for sure I made it.
When I was going for my second attempt, Aglo said "B, this time you are going into the examination not as a new person but as someone who already has experience with the NCLEX, you are not the same again". I feel that Aglo could relate with me at that level and by having so much faith in me, I rose to the occasion.
I have never met her in person, but I wish I could have found her at Maitland during the orientation program to pass my regards. I usually use her statement of "having experience with NCLEX" whenever a nurse has failed their NCLEX to encourage them too. I think if we could have more impactful nursing educators like Aglo it would be good, her classes were great indeed!
