Agnes Rast-Brown, RN

Our daughter was born with truneus arteriosus and had open heart surgery at one week old. Agnes was there when she was transferred to the PICU right after surgery. Our world had just flipped upside down, seeing our daughter lay there helpless and Agnes attending to her; at that moment, I knew things were going to be ok. Throughout our daughter's stay, I saw Agnes look after our Baby girl as if she was her own. Being new parents, Agnes looked after not only our daughter but also us. She coached us not only on how to be parents but also on how to care for a child with a heart defect. We really can't ever repay the care that Agnes provided and the entire team at Connecticut Children's.
