My dad was transferred from the regular unit to the Critical Care Unit after a procedure. Aidan was kind and patient toward my dad, who was a non-English speaker. Often, my dad was fussy with the room temperature and light brightness at night. He didn't lose his patience, and he used his body language and gestures to communicate with my dad without me translating. He was gentle with my dad when cleaning him. When my dad complained about coughing and would like cough medication, Aidan went to ask the doctor right away and came back with the medication within minutes. He was there to reassure me he would take care of my dad during his shift and he did. I can't thank him enough for all the help and reassurance he gave us during the difficult moments. My dad was happy and all smiles when Aidan came back for the next night shift. I know he felt relief when he was there at night. My family was glad to have Aidan as my dad's nurse for his duration in the Critical Care Unit.
