Aileen truly went above and beyond while caring for a patient with special needs. She demonstrated remarkable empathy, patience, and clinical judgment in ensuring the patient felt safe and supported throughout the perioperative experience. Understanding the patient's unique needs, Aileen took the extra step to personally accompany the patient to the OR, providing reassurance and continuity of care during what could have been an overwhelming transition. Her commitment did not stop there. Aileen was willing to complete the preoperative process and initiate the IV in the OR setting -prioritizing the patient's comfort and emotional well-being above convenience. This thoughtful and patient-centered approach significantly reduced the patient's anxiety and helped foster trust during vulnerable moments.
