Aileen P. from the 11E unit exemplified everything the DAISY Award stands for during my husband’s stay. She was his day shift nurse, and her kindness and professionalism made an incredible difference in our experience. Aileen was transparent and kept us well-informed about the plan of care, always taking time to explain each step and answer every question, no matter how small. Her communication and empathy made me feel truly heard and understood, a tremendous comfort during such a stressful time.

What stood out most was her attentiveness to even the simplest needs. She offered to change bed linens, gathered supplies for a shower, and brought fresh ice water without us ever needing to ask. These thoughtful gestures went a long way in making us feel cared for and supported. Above all, Aileen’s compassion shone through in everything she did. She made sure every concern was addressed, and her dedication to providing the best possible care put our minds at ease.
