February 2025 Honoree
Aimee Pivik, RN
My 64-year-old husband needed outpatient surgery. He hadn’t had any type of surgery for 30+ years, so he was very anxious and scared. I left him while they took him to get prepped with the IV, etc. The man was in tears as he walked away.
By the time they came to get me to go back to his “room”, he was comfortably lying on the bed, chatting and smiling with his nurse, Aimee. Everyone at AVH has been nice, but Aimee went out of her way to be a source of comfort and support. She is very personable, warm, and a caring nurse.
We felt so blessed that Aimee was chosen to be my husband’s nurse. I highly recommend her for the DAISY Award. She is a great example of what anyone in the nursing field should strive to be. Your hospital is very blessed to have a nurse as compassionate and caring as Aimee.
