In the Mercy Anderson ICU Aimee cared for my grandmother. She was there for a majority of the shifts that my grandma was there. She always went above and beyond to ensure that she had all the appropriate resources and never needed anything. We had a tough conversation and wanted to get hospice involved and find out all of our options. First, we were told contradicting things. When Aimee heard this, she called all the right resources back in to clarify and went out of her way to make sure my grandma knew all she needed to, despite not being her designated nurse. Aimee was willing to listen to our concerns as family members and guide us to finding a solution. She was the light that my grandma needed in her last few days and helped us get to all the right people/places to get the care she needed in my grandma's final days.
