I recently experienced an orbital stroke with complete Retinal Artery Occlusion. As a result, I could not see anything out of my right eye. No warning, I just went blind in one eye. I was transported via ambulance. I had been under extensive stress, so this whole event was quite frightening for me.

After my amazing care in the ER, I was transported to ICU because I received the clot buster medication. I could not stop shaking and crying. Then I met Aireen Aquino, who was assigned to me. I cannot express what a gem she is. A true heroic Angel. She has the whole formula for being a terrific nurse, and this is being stated by a former nurse myself. She was so professional yet so soft-spoken and caring. She made this horrible experience a calmer one. She addressed every one of my needs medically, physically, and mentally. She was so helpful in calming me, explaining procedures and medications, and addressing my stress.

She seriously has the whole package in nursing care. I don’t know how to thank her.

I would like her to know how impressed and thankful I am for her standing out as a nurse who is so willing to go above and beyond the normal call of the nursing profession. Thank you for hiring such a GEM. Thank you.
