March 2024 Honoree
Aisha Abdow, RN, BSN
Aisha saw me at my very worst when I was admitted to the ER before being admitted to the hospital. I was going through severe alcohol withdrawals and obviously inebriated. She checked on me regularly and actually made me feel like a real person despite my struggles with alcoholism. I’ve had medical staff in the past that I can tell are judgmental about my situation and treat me with less respect because of my reason for admittance.
I am vowing today to be sober again because of my nurse, Aisha, and the rest of the amazing staff who welcomed me without judgment and clearly explained what my body is going through. Thank you for going above and beyond, and mostly, thank you for your kindness.

Thank you, Aisha, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
