Aiyana Higbee, RN

Last night Aiyana spent over 45 minutes in my room answering literally every question that I had regarding my new diabetes diagnosis. She explained why certain meds were being given and took time to help me calm down from a near panic attack when it was clear my glucose levels weren't reacting correctly and moving. I've had very few people to talk to and learn about my new life-changing circumstances, but she took time from her busy schedule to talk and more importantly to listen and reassure. As a patient, I believe you could use a thousand more of her. She was a blessing and a spotlight in my darkness and fear. I don't know that she'll rotate in again, but I want to tell her thank you and that I appreciate her compassion.
