AkkeNeel Talsma, PhD, RN, FAAN
AkkeNeel Talsma, PhD, RN, FAAN, Associate Professor and Kellner Entrepreneurship Fellow at UW-Milwaukee College of Nursing since 2015. Dr. Talsma is recognized by her students for her commitment to innovation, research, and growth in relation to student learning.
Dr. Talsma is known for her ability to meet students where they are at yet trust and challenge their thinking to expand their learning through experiential projects in relation to Maternal Infant Outcomes research. She ensures students are accompanied through the project, as needed, and through the pandemic pivoted to provide engagement and learning for student experiences at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
