First of all, let me say that everyone, Kaiser staff, and professionals, provided service in the most professional, empathetic, efficient, and patient-focused manner that would be the diamond standard! However, I want to especially single out the person whose focus on me, the patient, and all of my needs, set the stage for all subsequent iterations during my time in the surgery department. His name is Alan. His professionalism and wonderful patient-comforting bedside manner put me at ease that stayed with me throughout my procedure and beyond. It is even more amazing when I consider that he was performing critical duties required to make sure all other involved personnel, including the surgeon and anesthesiologist, received relevant clinical vitals and information regarding possible medication contraindications that I expressed. I would like him to understand how much he affected me and my comfort with the surgery I was about to experience. I can be very hard on Kaiser Healthcare when they fail to deliver acceptable services. Alan is the type of healthcare professional that improves the patient satisfaction balance I have with all of Kaiser's services.
